• This is a remote position. • Objective: A professional is required to conduct moderated usability testing of a web presence to improve user task success. • The goal is to ensure that users can efficiently complete their tasks, such as accessing and understanding government services online. • Tasks: Moderated Usability Testing: Conduct four usability tests annually with a target audience. • Facilitate one-on-one moderated usability sessions. • Observe and record user interactions for evaluation. • Document findings related to usability and accessibility. • Usability Test Execution: Attend a kickoff meeting to confirm approach, target audience, and test scenarios. • Develop testing materials, including participant instructions, invitations, consent forms, and facilitator guides. • Recruit participants, ensuring a mix of mobile and desktop users across various locations. • Schedule and manage test sessions remotely. • Obtain consent and record participant sessions. • Upload session recordings for internal access for 12 months post-testing. • Reporting and Recommendations: Provide a PowerPoint presentation for each usability test, covering: - Task success rates and completion times. • Identified usability and accessibility issues. • Video clips demonstrating key findings. • Expert recommendations for improving information architecture, page layouts, navigation, labels, and wording. • Present findings to the web strategy team and stakeholders. • Deliverables: Testing Materials: Participant instructions Invitation emails Consent forms Finalized task scenarios Facilitator’s guide Format: Microsoft Word (one per usability test) Results Presentation: PowerPoint presentation summarizing usability test findings. • Delivered within 60 days of the kickoff meeting for each test. • Work Conditions: Remote work. Meetings - Conducted virtually, with scheduled and ad hoc sessions. Travel - No travel required.
• Language Requirements: Work conducted in English, with 30% of testing in French. • Deliverables provided in English; translation handled separately.
