📋 Description

• Lead a team of 5-8 engineers, managing hiring, growth, compensation, and performance • Be directly responsible for the results your team delivers • Own the definition and execution of the team’s 12-month roadmap • Drive improvements to processes and tools to safely change high-risk code • Use data to inform decisions and measure impact of shipped work • Guide the team through complex changes balancing performance and other requirements • Handle or lead efforts to handle time-sensitive customer escalations • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams across the company on large initiatives • Work with product and program managers to specify, prioritize and deliver new features • Ensure high quality and velocity in the design and implementation of new functionality in MongoDB server

🎯 Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience managing a team of software engineers • Strong technical judgment to guide engineering decisions • First-hand experience developing complex systems in C++ (databases, distributed systems, or high-performance applications) • Enjoy coaching and career development and creating growth opportunities for engineers • Commitment to building a diverse, inclusive environment • Customer-first mindset and willingness to cross team boundaries
