📋 Description

• Please note that this is a full-time, direct-hire role. • Due to segments of our customer base, we cannot sponsor employment visas. • This role is for a mid-level network engineer to work with a Baltimore-based national client. • In this role, you will: • Maintain and operate next-generation networking hardware, operating system selection, tools, and implementation techniques to meet customer’s requirements • Survey network requirements of remote customer offices and campus buildings • Analyze current network configurations and determine implementation requirements • Upgrade the configuration of existing network equipment to support new features and functions • Work with field installation contractors while they are on-site and provide all technical details to troubleshoot issues • Implement, upgrade, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Catalyst and Nexus switch platforms by maintaining a solid understanding of the switching technologies, remote management, and network topologies.

🎯 Requirements

• Cisco Certified Network Engineers must possess a Cisco CCNA and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on network experience • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis • Currently in a location that is commutable on a regular basis to the Baltimore MD area • It would be great if you also had • Experience with Cisco firewalls, especially Cisco ASA or Firepower • Strong network troubleshooting skills • A good understanding of IP addressing • A 4-year academic degree from an accredited university
