• Develop a living, prioritized development strategy based on proposal outcomes, funder conversations, and market signals • Identify focus areas across programs and geographies based on funder appetite, pipeline strength, and organizational priorities • Maintain visibility into the funding pipeline by funder, program, chapter, and stage, flagging risks and gaps • Translate strategy into guidance on opportunity prioritization, proposal repositioning, and team investment • Advise the CEO and program leads on funding strategy • Lead and develop the global platform-level development team, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management • Translate development strategy into rolling team work plans with ownership, resources, and timelines • Coordinate collaboration across platform staff, country leaders, fundraisers, and program leads • Run fundraising operating rhythms including pipeline reviews, proposal coordination, and prioritization check-ins • Coordinate multi-country and multi-program proposals, including cohesive narratives and budgets • Build and maintain a central library of fundraising collateral • Draft and maintain funder and conference decks using modular content • Partner with the Chief Communications Officer on messaging, program updates, and brand standards • Provide tools, templates, frameworks, and support for effective fundraising and consistent reporting • Build feedback loops from funder and country engagement into strategy and planning • Own fundraising CRM and pipeline-tracking systems, ensuring data quality and consistent use • Produce regular and ad hoc leadership reports and dashboards on pipeline health, funder trends, and fundraising goals • Standardize proposal, reporting, and stewardship templates and processes • Track outcomes against strategy and refine it using new data • Ensure fundraising protocols and internal and external reporting are completed on time and to consistent quality standards • Establish reliable global pipeline visibility and decision-making information within the first 6–12 months • Build an effective operating rhythm and improve coordination across platform, country, and program teams • Establish consistent CRM and pipeline management practices • Create an accessible library of standardized fundraising collateral and tools • Establish feedback loops connecting funder intelligence, performance, and development strategy
• 8+ years of experience in fundraising, development operations, or closely related strategy/operations functions • At least 5 years directly touching nonprofit or philanthropic fundraising • Experience converting frontline or field-level input into strategy and prioritization • Experience managing or closely coordinating distributed teams, including non-direct-report relationships • Strong track record with CRM and pipeline systems, translating data into decisions • Familiarity with climate, clean energy, or entrepreneurship support landscapes is a strong plus • Structured, analytical thinking and ability to synthesize qualitative field input into recommendations • Adaptability in evolving structures and workflows; self-starter with a growth mindset • High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust across diverse cultural contexts • Exceptional written communication skills for concise strategy and proposals • Strong project management skills across concurrent proposals, deadlines, and stakeholders • Ability to work as an internal partner and connective-tissue role • Ability to work with global teams across time zones, with periodic travel for meetings and conferences • Proficiency in database/CRM management, Google Workspace, and Slack • Foundational knowledge of global clean energy and climate change solutions is preferred • Experience building or structuring an early-stage development operations function is preferred • Willingness to attend some meetings outside regular work hours
