🎯 Requirements

• College degree (B.S. or greater) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline (Will consider experience in lieu of education). • 7+ years of experience working with relational databases, including designing data models, implementing version-controlled schema changes, and optimizing database systems. • Solid understanding of concepts such as data types, indexing, performance tuning, query plans. • Demonstrated skill to take high level requirements and work with Product Architects to create a data model to store transactional data. • Proven expertise in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle. • Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing, and managing data, as well as creating and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and views. • Experience with CDC (change data capture) concepts and usage. • Understanding of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Couchbase. • Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control, to ensure that sensitive data is protected and compliant with government regulations. • Experience with cloud-based database services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Microsoft Azure SQL Database. • Experience with data integration tools and techniques, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and queue-based messaging systems to ensure seamless data flow between systems. • Familiarity with microservices based architecture and its impact to data storage. • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and communicate complex database concepts. • Experience helping customers and mission users conceptualize and prioritize their data analysis and visualization needs. • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include, but not limited to: 3-year check for felony convictions, 1-year check for illegal drug use, 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud.
