• Build polished, professional, and technically capable product vision for data movement • Translate customer business problems into feature specifications working with sales, customers, and partners • Work with technical product managers to build requirement specifications and see them through to completion • Participate in the prioritization process to identify which features deliver the highest value • Own and develop the roadmap for key solutions and use cases (telecommunications, government, automotive, and more) • Work closely with sales to communicate the roadmap and priority of outstanding feature requests by customers • Understand and track the positioning of solutions with respect to where customers and our competition are headed • Interact with product marketing on the strategy of the solutions and use cases that you own • Work directly with customers on new use cases as a customer advocate and partner in building out new solutions with Ocient • Collaborate across internal Ocient teams to drive complex database features to successful completion • Report to Vice President of Product Management
• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field • 10+ years of professional working experience in enterprise software • 5+ years of product management experience or closely working with product management • 5+ years of working with database or data analytics products • Significant data warehousing, analytics, and database expertise • Working knowledge and experience with data movement and data ingest into databases • Experience building, selling, or managing database products for external consumption • Deep understanding of the end-to-end sales, development, and delivery cycle • Background working with databases on-premise, in the cloud, and running as a service • Excellent presentation and written communication skills to senior internal and external audiences • Ability to drive complex projects with many moving parts • Preferred: experience in technical sales or technical consulting • Preferred: experience identifying new partnership opportunities and managing relationships • Must be US-based; company cannot sponsor or transfer visas of any kind
