📋 Description
• Responsible for conducting probabilistic/quantitative risk analyses (PRAs/QRAs) to support Oklo’s used nuclear fuel recycling facility design, licensing, deployment, and operation. • Develop PRA/QRA models of the Oklo UNF recycling facility. • Work with engineering teams to identify and analyze event sequences, compile risk insights, and incorporate insights into the design. • Apply PRA techniques to evaluate internal process hazards and external natural hazards. • Support licensing activities through generation of technical reports and documentation.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field; a master’s or Ph.D. is highly desirable • 3-5 years of experience in nuclear safety or similar environment • Experience conducting Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), and/or other process hazard analysis methodologies • Demonstrated expertise in methodologies and software used for nuclear PRA/QRA (e.g., CAFTA, SAPHIRE, ADAPT, RAVEN, etc.)
