• Lead and continuously improve the onboarding program for a remote-first, globally distributed team • Coordinate core onboarding activities: orientation schedules, key communications, and cross-functional workflows • Partner with hiring managers to create clear, role-specific onboarding plans and expectations across departments • Host or facilitate virtual onboarding sessions and support periodic in-person live sessions • Maintain and refine onboarding resources (guides, checklists, FAQs) so new hires can ramp quickly and independently • Use HR tools and systems to streamline and, where possible, automate onboarding steps and communications • Gather feedback and track onboarding metrics to identify what’s working and where to improve • Help design a program that can scale and eventually be supported by additional operators as the company grows
• Around 5 years of experience in onboarding, people operations, program management, or similar roles • Experience both improving existing programs and running them reliably day-to-day • Experience supporting onboarding or people operations in a high-growth startup or similarly fast-scaling environment • Strong project management and organizational skills; you keep moving pieces aligned without over-engineering • Excellent written and verbal communication across time zones and async channels • Comfort using or learning common HR and collaboration tools, and using them to make workflows more efficient • Comfort with rapid growth, evolving needs, and building just enough structure at the right time
