📋 Description

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development • Own the month-end and quarter-end accounting close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP • Ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition across ParentSquare and subsidiaries, overseeing reconciliations and contract reviews for SaaS and other revenue streams • Design, implement, and monitor strong internal controls to safeguard assets • Collaborate with leaders in FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Operations to support the close process, provide OPEX analysis, and align financial reporting with business objectives • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline close timelines, improve accuracy, and enhance the efficiency of accounting systems and workflows • Lead technical accounting research and the adoption of new accounting standards, documenting policies and ensuring proper application • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, preparing audit schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring timely and accurate audit completion • Support the VP of Accounting in shaping the long-term accounting roadmap, including system upgrades, automation initiatives, and scaling processes for growth

🎯 Requirements

• CPA certification required; Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role • Proven expertise in US GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and technical accounting matters • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performance teams • Experience in working in SaaS • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution.
