📋 Description

• Database Administration and Maintenance: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch supported database systems (Oracle 10g–19c, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server). • Perform database and schema refresh operations using native tools (e.g., Oracle exp/imp, Expdp/Impdp; pg dump/pg restore; SQL Server backup/restore). • Implement database change orders according to established schedules and procedures. • Monitor database performance and availability using platform-specific tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, pgAdmin, SSMS). • Document database policies, procedures, and standards for organizational compliance. • Execute backup, restore, and recovery operations using RMAN (Oracle), pgBackRest/Barman (PostgreSQL), or native SQL Server tools. • Perform SQL tuning and indexing strategies to optimize query performance. • Troubleshoot database and performance issues to minimize system downtime. • Maintain and support standby or high-availability configurations for disaster recovery. • Administer platform-specific technologies such as Oracle ASM/RAC, PostgreSQL replication, or SQL Server Always On Availability Groups. • Support clinical research applications through reliable and secure database infrastructure. • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with enterprise applications. • Provide technical expertise for database-related aspects of system implementations and migrations. • Maintain database security and access controls in accordance with organizational policies.

🎯 Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in database administration in Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server • Proficiency in any two of the following: Oracle RDBMS (10g–19c), PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server • Experience with monitoring and management tools relevant to the supported platform • Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures using platform-specific tools • Expertise in SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimization • Familiarity with high-availability and disaster recovery technologies • Basic UNIX/Linux or Windows Server administration skills depending on platform • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams • Time management and prioritization capabilities • Customer service orientation when supporting internal users. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. • Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), PostgreSQL certification, or Microsoft SQL Server certifications preferred.
