📋 Description

• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare ACCA-based heat load calculations and designs for new residential construction homes • Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements, and prepares itemized lists • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness • Conducts special studies to increase cost-effectiveness of projects • Consults with clients, vendors, and Department Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues • Cooperates with the Service and IAQ Departments on projects as assigned by the Installation Manager

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering preferred but not mandatory • Minimum of two years’ experience as an HVAC designer • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers • Knowledge and experience with geometry and trigonometry, and the ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentage ratios, and proportions to practical situations • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Wrightsoft, & AutoCAD used in the design process.
