📋 Description

• Manage a full caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses • Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials (virtually or in person, as needed) • Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop case strategies • Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel • Negotiate settlements and provide recommendations for case resolution • Maintain accurate case records and billing in accordance with firm/client guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • Active and in good standing with the California State Bar • 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and organizational abilities • Proficient in case management software and legal research tools • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
