This strategy has allowed Phantom to achieve significant milestones including surpassing 15 million MAU’s, reaching #1 in the Google play store finance category, and consistently trending as a Top 50 app across all categories, right next to X, PayPal, Coinbase, and ChatGPT. • Responsibilities • As a Backend Engineer, You’ll play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our backend systems and infra, with a focus on high-volume, high-availability solutions that meet the complex needs of modern financial platforms. Join us on our mission to make the digital economy safe and easy to use for everyone. • Qualifications • Proven backend engineering experience with distributed systems fundamentals. • Direct ownership of paved path / service standards or major DevEx initiatives. • CI/CD pipeline design and optimization for backend deployments. • Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Pulumi). • Strong code quality, testing, and observability practices. • Hands-on Rust experience • Demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms • Nice To Haves: Hands-on TypeScript experience • 1+ years experience in a blockchain based product • Kafka / Flink /Spark or other data streaming/storage platforms. • Service mesh exposure. • Crypto/web3 familiarity. • Why Work with Us • Opportunity • We are a team of experienced builders in the blockchain and crypto industry.
