📋 Description
• Fully remote role supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure accessibility support for enterprise applications • Ensure accessibility compliance through UI development, testing, and code reviews to ensure components and systems meet WCAG 2.2 guidelines • Conduct accessibility audits • Assist with identifying critical accessibility issues and provide recommended solutions • Resolve critical accessibility issues • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and strategies regarding accessibility
🎯 Requirements
• Required Clearance: Public Trust • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accessibility, or related field • 5+ years of federal accessibility experience • Expert knowledge of Section 508 standards, WCAG guidelines, and federal accessibility testing methodologies • Experience with federal accessibility evaluation tools, remediation procedures, and compliance documentation • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience managing document version control • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs and priorities • Preferred: Certification in accessibility compliance (CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) and knowledge of federal accessibility laws
