📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. • Design and architect scalable, robust, and maintainable systems that meet business requirements and performance expectations. • Develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practices and relevant technologies. • Identify, assess, and manage major risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records and other critical data by implementing robust data validation, verification, and error-handling mechanisms. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, maintainability, and performance. • Identify and address technical challenges and roadblocks proactively, proposing innovative solutions where necessary. • Implement and advocate for testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing frameworks, to ensure the quality and reliability of software deliverables. • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, architecture diagrams, and API documentation. • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on technical skills, best practices, and professional development.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a focus on designing and building scalable systems. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Python, or C#, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles. • Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and database management. • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP) and familiarity with infrastructure as code principles for deploying and managing applications. • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of effectively leading and inspiring a team of engineers. • Proven ability to manage major risks and issues through effective contingency planning and proper escalation. • Deep understanding of system security principles and experience implementing security measures to safeguard systems and data integrity, particularly in the context of financial applications. • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Previous work in developing and maintaining accounting or financial software solutions is preferred.
