📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers. • Develop, implement, and monitor company policies governing revenue recognition. • Own key processes governing revenue recognition, and when necessary, recognize adjustments to revenue & deferred revenue. • Reconcile deferred revenue and other balance sheet accounts related to revenue recognition and improve systematic reporting related to revenue and deferred revenue. • Review Professional Services contracts and the related revenue allocations to ensure appropriate recognition. • Develop close working relationships with the project managers; participate in project update meetings, educate, and provide financial guidance as necessary. • Prepare account reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, deferred commissions, and accounts receivable related accounts. • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to revenue recognition, invoicing, and related accounting policies/ processes. • Assist with the implementation of system enhancements within Workday related to revenue and invoicing management. • Assist in preparation of financial data and support for audits, budgets, and other needs. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related revenue footnotes. • Assist with special projects and activities as requested.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study. • Strong Technical understanding of ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers. • Ability to analyze information, formulate decisions / recommendations and bring closure to issues. • CPA certification preferred. • 3-5 years of work experience, public accounting and software accounting experience preferred.
