📋 Description

• Analyze data for validity and compliance with outlined ACS/ABA and State requirements through routine extrapolation of trauma registry data elements relevant to the ACS/ABA and trauma leadership dashboard. • Coordinates and performs data analysis for Trauma Service Performance Improvement, Research/Grants, Injury Prevention, and administrative activities. • Interprets data, anticipates needs for additional data, and prepares high quality presentation graphs/reports. • Ability to effectively present information to multiple disciplines. • Coordinates all trauma database related responsibilities during a trauma center designation/verification visit. • Includes participation in RFP preparation, chart selection, and chart preparation. • Maintain and coordinate a streamlined process for trauma/burn data report requests. • Respond to data requests for research, internal, external, or compliance audits. • Maintain an ACS/ABA dashboard for tracking and trending ACS/ABA metric compliance i.e., Non-Surgical Admits, Number of Exploratory Laparotomy and Screenings. • Adhere to all regulatory requirements for release of information, HIPAA, and IRB research requests. • Monitor and track information release of information and publications related to the trauma registry database. • Prepare the data quality and use report for ACS/ABA site visits • Maintain required CEUs for certifications annually.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience in DI Report Writer, trauma data base coding i.e., ICD-CM/PCS, AIS in ESO/DI V5 COLLECTOR • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing or Computer Science Required • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Nursing or Computer Science Preferred • Certified Specialist Trauma Registry (CSTR) or Certification obtained within (1) year in position. within 1 Year Required • RHIA, RHIT Preferred • Valid RN Licensure Preferred • Minimum 4 years experience in DI Report Writer, trauma data base coding i.e., ICD-CM/PCS, AIS in ESO/DI V5 COLLECTOR Required • Prior knowledge in Health Information Management, Nursing or Computer Science (with healthcare experience) Required • Research experience, Soarian, Cerner, SIS experience, SQL, R or Python Preferred
