• We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Bookkeeper and Tax Specialist to join our dynamic team at Remote VA. • This position involves managing our clients' financial records, preparing taxes, and providing expert advice on financial compliance. • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bookkeeping and tax regulations to ensure our clients' financial health. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients, including accounts payable and receivable. • Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements. • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets. • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. • Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and financial planning to minimize tax liabilities. • Analyze clients' financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. • Provide recommendations for budgeting, forecasting, and financial management. • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial situation and tax obligations. • Address client inquiries and provide solutions related to tax and bookkeeping issues. • Organize and maintain financial documents and ensure they are readily available for audits or reviews. • Collaborate with other team members to support overall financial operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bookkeeping experience, with a strong focus on tax preparation and compliance. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar. • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients in a friendly and professional manner. • CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
