• Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and queries for application features • Build, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric • Optimize existing SQL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability • Analyze execution plans and resolve performance bottlenecks (indexing, query design, data access patterns) • Collaborate with application developers to implement efficient database interactions • Translate business requirements into well-structured database solutions • Support schema design, data modeling, and database changes for new features • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to database and pipeline performance • Assist with database administration tasks (performance monitoring, deployments, basic maintenance) • Contribute to database standards, code quality, and best practices • Own database-related workstreams from design through deployment and validation.
• 4-7 years of experience working with PostgreSQL, and/or Microsoft SQL Server • Strong SQL development skills, including writing and optimizing complex stored procedures • Experience managing ETL/ELT processes in Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric • Solid understanding of query execution plans, indexing strategies, joins, aggregations, and set-based operations • Experience diagnosing and resolving performance issues in production environments • Familiarity with Azure or other cloud-based database platforms • Experience working closely with application teams on database-backed features • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
