📋 Description

• Collaborate with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams to create precise electrical engineering designs for utility-scale BESS projects. • Create detailed 2-D and 3-D designs primarily using AutoCAD Civil 3-D and prepare drawings according to project specifications and client requirements. • Create site plans, single line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment elevation drawings for BESS electrical drawing packages. • Create geolocated electrical base files and site model layouts in AutoCAD C3D, coordinating with multidisciplinary groups and referencing their work. • Ensure project drawings comply with RRC standards, industry regulations, codes, and best practices. • Review equipment specification sheets and determine requirements for BESS electrical systems. • Participate in improving BESS team products, department standards, best practices, SOPs, and documentation. • Participate in project meetings and provide progress reports to managers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders. • Maintain high ethical and professional standards and nurture client relationships. • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or similar engineering technology, or related degree, or equivalent professional experience. • 4+ years of engineering design experience using AutoCAD C3D or other relevant experience. • Physical design experience. • Excellent spatial awareness and ability to visualize 3-D reality while designing in 2-D space. • Proficiency with AutoCAD required; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred. • Proficient understanding and use of geographic systems and/or GIS software. • Knowledge of low to medium voltage electrical power systems. • Strong technical verbal communication and technical writing skills. • Ability to communicate design-related aspects effectively with internal engineers and external clients. • Ability to communicate effectively in collaborative online meetings using Microsoft Teams and Outlook. • Ability to read and understand technical literature, specification sheets, engineering plans, dimensioned drawings, single line diagrams, and other engineering details. • Knowledge of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) preferred. • Knowledge of PV/solar, wind power, and renewable-energy electrical systems is a plus. • Knowledge of civil grading, roads and drainage, structural steel and concrete design, PVC electrical conduit installation, and related construction practices is a plus. • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
