• Analyze and make recommendations for the implementation of supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes • Manage supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material • Manage the analysis of quality data and development of part / supplier specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions • Provide research and guidance for root cause analysis & problem solving (Red-X & 8D) in escape management procedures • Develop corrective and / or preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers • Drive support for the UTC Supplier Gold program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability • Drive support for the RTX ZERO program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience • 8+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent • Strong knowledge and expertise of Quality Regulations, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Root Cause/Corrective Action, Auditing/Assessing, Risk Management / Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma), Gemba walk, PFMEA, CP, MSA, problem solving methodologies is desirable • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively and easily with both internal and external executives and employees • Must be able to travel up to 50% to supplier sites.
