• As a Senior Database Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's databases. • Your role involves optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, implementing security measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations and data-driven decision-making. • Design, develop, and implement database solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices. • Optimize database performance through efficient schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and performance tuning. • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across databases through backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies. • Implement and enforce database security measures, access controls, and data encryption to protect sensitive information. • Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and IT teams to integrate database systems with applications and analytics platforms. • Monitor database health, performance metrics, and resource utilization to proactively identify and resolve issues. • Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures for database systems. • Stay updated with emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Master's degree preferred. • Proven experience 5yrs as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or related role in managing enterprise-level databases. • Strong expertise in database design, development, implementation, and administration using relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). • Proficiency in SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, and database scripting languages. • Experience with database performance monitoring tools, backup/recovery solutions, and data modeling tools. • Knowledge of database security practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
