📋 Description

• Lead and be in the driver’s seat for SEC filings including Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, and annual proxy statements • Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures • Collaborate with local accounting teams to review supporting data, perform tie outs and analysis for SEC filings • Draft insightful MD&A using flux analyses and business understanding • Perform GAAP research, document accounting whitepapers, and propose suitable disclosures • Apply ASC 718 principles for accounting and reporting of equity programs including valuation and disclosure for SEC reporting • Work closely with external auditors to support SAS 100 quarterly reviews and the annual audit • Prepare presentations and tie outs for executive management and the Audit Committee • Support compliance activities across global accounting including deployment of accounting policies and SOX controls • Participate in transformative special projects and champion Samsara’s cultural principles

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • CPA license • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience • Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience at a public accounting firm • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP), accounting processes, and SOX requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software • Experience with ASC 718 principles (preferred) • Experience with Workiva SEC Reporting Solution and iXBRL review (preferred) • Experience with NetSuite and/or Schwab EquiView (plus) • Experience in tech and IPO (plus) • Ability to prioritize and manage time under strict deadlines • Fast learner and multi-tasker with a strong desire to learn • Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, and ownership of complex problems • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills • Strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through • Must reside in the United States (role is open to candidates residing in the US with listed state exclusions)
