📋 Description

• Lead the architecture and development of our high-throughput, real-time Eventing platform, ensuring reliability and scalability for our largest enterprise customers. • Design and build the next generation of our serverless compute (Lambda) capabilities, empowering developers to run custom logic directly on the Samsara platform. • Guide the evolution of our external API framework, ensuring it remains robust, consistent, and easy to use as our product capabilities expand. • Act as the technical leader for the team, mentoring other engineers and driving architectural decisions across all our products, including the Marketplace. • Partner with Product Management and enterprise customers to define a long-term technical vision that enables a best-in-class developer experience. • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering • Deep expertise in designing, building, and operating high-throughput data streaming systems using Kafka or similar eventing technologies • Demonstrable experience with serverless compute architectures, such as AWS Lambda, and an understanding of their associated design patterns and trade-offs • Strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, public-facing APIs, with a preference for GraphQL
