• The Sales Representative will attract new clients, win new accounts, and maximize profitability within sales territory. • The incumbent will work prospects through the entire sales cycle, including developing new leads, educating prospects, and turning interested restaurant owners, managers and buyers into long-term customers. • Cultivate new leads and build relationships with existing customers within the sales territory promoting Saputo branded products. • Visit assigned outlets to make sales calls in assigned geography to achieve target sales goals. • Close new deals at a high rate. • Attend Distributor General Sales Meetings, Distributor District Manager Sales Meeting and develop relationships with Distributor Sales Representatives • Attend and support Distributor Food Shows. • Travel throughout the territory and visit customers on a recurring basis. • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase sales, space and productivity in an account while maintaining satisfactory customer service. • Manage multiple accounts simultaneously. • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts • Represent the Saputo brand during all customer and prospect interactions. • Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally. • Provide competitive market intelligence and feedback on new products launches. • Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions. • Represent the customer point of view internally on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. • Capture Saputo branded product quality concerns and report to management immediately. • Leverage insights to identify and advance opportunities for foodservice customers.
• High School degree required; college degree preferred. • 1 - 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in cheese, dairy or other consumer product goods industry. • Strong selling skill set and ability to influence restaurant owners, managers and buyers through fact-based data selling. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey market insights & conditions to restaurant owners, managers, and buyers. • Self-motivated and ability to work independently within a large market and multitask across a large number of customers. • Effective time-management & scheduling skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously. • Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for cheese and dairy • Periodic lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, reaching and kneeling, and occasional weekend work. • Must have a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and excellent driving record for use during work hours. • Proficient with Smart Phones and Smart Phone apps, as well as MS Office Professional Suite. • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. • This role will cover the State of California with focus in S.
