📋 Description

• Work in a project team environment designing, modifying, and analyzing instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for new and existing nuclear power plants • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide variety of electrical controls engineering issues • Digital systems design and development: PLC, DCS, touchscreens, network switches, and control systems • Develop functional requirements and procurement specifications for control systems • Design mechatronics and control systems for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors • Perform critical digital asset cyber assessments and assessment reviews • Conduct client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction • Assist project manager/director to deliver projects on time, within budget, and satisfactorily • Prepare and review detailed calculations (scaling, uncertainty, setpoint) for digital and analog controls • Interface with vendors for document reviews and equipment purchase specifications • Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information to meet client requirements • Perform independent reviews of others' work including designs, specifications, calculations, and drawings • Participate in Communities of Practice and mentor less experienced engineers

🎯 Requirements

• We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position • BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program • 5+ years of experience in I&C Design Engineering • Experience in design engineering for nuclear power plant control systems • Experience selecting equipment, defining control philosophy, and preparing design packages, calculations, and specifications • Experience with controls system design for turbines, pumps, feedwater controls, and data displays • Experience serving as client liaison in support or lead engineering roles • Experience reviewing design documentation • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • PE license preferred
