📋 Description

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (HGB - German Commercial Code) for our German company (GmbH) in cooperation with the tax advisor • Point of contact for auditors and tax inspectors • Accounts payable and receivable accounting (invoice processing, dunning, open-item maintenance) • Coordination of payroll with an external payroll provider • Support with payment transactions and treasury (postings, balance reconciliations, payment runs) • Statutory reporting (e.g., ZM to the Bundesbank, Z4 report) • Preparation of analyses and reports on balance sheet items and tax matters • Coordination with the Portuguese tax advisor on accounting topics for our Portuguese subsidiary

🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in finance, ideally in a start-up or fast-growing company • Degree in economics/business administration or a comparable commercial qualification with additional certification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter:in IHK / Certified Balance Sheet Accountant) • Solid knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) • Experience with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., DATEV) • Very good Excel skills • Experience with group accounting / consolidation is a plus • Practical experience in internalising bookkeeping previously handled by an external tax advisor • Analytical thinking, strong affinity for numbers, structured, careful and solution-oriented working style • Strong communication skills, team player, resilient and dependable
