📋 Description

• Design and implement robust backend systems powering media and streaming platform • Develop and maintain high-quality, modular, and well-annotated Python code • Design and implement APIs to integrate and propagate data across remote systems, handling full and partial failures • Build observable systems with logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting • Write and review GitHub pull requests; ensure code quality through testing, type annotations, and documentation • Participate in design and architecture phases to ensure scalability and performance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software engineers, data engineers, product managers) to deliver new product features

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years professional software development experience • High proficiency in modern Python, writing modular and maintainable code • Strong understanding of asynchronous patterns: asyncio, event loops, threading, multiprocessing • Hands-on experience with FastAPI and Celery • Expertise in unit testing with pytest and mocking • Proficient in basic SQL queries • Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals including DNS, HTTP requests, and subnetting • Experience with Docker and Linux environments • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, OCI) • Experience building RESTful APIs • Familiarity with Go or Rust (desired) • Knowledge of CDN/Multi-CDN architectures and ABR streaming (desired) • Experience with observability systems, log aggregation, metrics pipelines, ETL processes (desired) • Understanding of Python type annotations and modular application design • Experience with API orchestration in multi-CDN environments (desired) • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tooling (desired) • Background in distributed systems and designing fault-tolerant architectures • Experience with Kubernetes or general cloud infrastructure (desired) • Advanced oral English • Candidates located in Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, or Argentina (LATAM)
