📋 Description

• Perform duties to install and provide on-demand/scheduled service and training for all general-purpose equipment with a wide variety of industrial and customer specific application machines. • Daily travel by auto with frequent overnight stays; daily drive time usually 1 to 6 hours. • Perform daily tasks in accordance with all Safety regulations and protocols and complete safety training on time. • Timely, accurately, and effectively document daily service activities and expenses in the appropriate recording system. • Identify complex problems relating to customer and/or machines; develop and implement solutions. • Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics for installation, repair, upgrades and retrofits. • Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians; monitor and manage their scheduled service calls. • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic functions; disassemble units, replace defective parts, make adjustments and test for proper operation. • Coordinate pre-installation meetings with customers, inspect sites for product compatibility, install, adjust and test equipment. • Report and follow up on potential unsafe conditions and suggest effective solutions. • Maintain effective customer relationships via professional explanations of product failures and recommended corrective actions. • Communicate essential information timely to customers, management and engineering. • Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities and assist in quotation proposals. • Design and conduct training programs for repair and/or preventative maintenance for customers and company service representatives. • Prepare comprehensive non-conformance reports and service bulletins. • Assist Regional Service Manager with inventory sourcing levels and specific parts for assigned equipment.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Degree, Technical or similar College Degree • 4-5 years of transferable experience • Electrical, Mechanical, Blueprints, Schematics and PLC background • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) • Desirable: Professional course (electrical or mechanical or automation courses). • Ability to timely, accurately, and effectively document daily service activities and expenses • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics • Intermediate PLC knowledge • Ability to perform daily tasks in accordance with all Safety regulations and protocols
