📋 Description

• Prepare accurate financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, companies, partnerships, and trusts • Handle regulatory submissions such as Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR), and other ad-hoc compliance obligations • Stay updated on financial and taxation regulations and legislation to ensure compliance • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to provide updates and address queries • Ensure on-time lodgement of tax returns, regulatory submissions, and other compliance documents • Perform other accounting and tax-related tasks as assigned, including audit support and advisory services • Use relevant accounting and tax software (Xero, MYOB, ATO online services) to streamline processes • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Australian Tax Accountant • Experience preparing tax returns and financial statements for sole traders, companies, partnerships, and trusts • Ability to handle regulatory submissions such as FBT and TPAR and other ad-hoc compliance obligations • Stay updated on Australian taxation regulations and legislation • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients • Ensure on-time lodgement of tax returns and compliance documents • Support audits or advisory services as required • Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, ATO online services) • High attention to detail and data-driven approach • Behavioural competencies: Ownership; Humility; Structured thinking; Can have tough conversations positively; Tech + services savvy; Problem solving; Excellent listener and clear communicator; User-centric; Analytical mindset; Collaboration-driven; Autonomous/Entrepreneurial; AI-ready and curious • Willingness to consent to background screening (education verification, criminal history, political exposure, bankruptcy/adverse credit)
