📋 Description
• Bill weekly for assigned facilities through the KIPU EMR system and Collaborate MD. • Review claims prior to releasing to confirm accuracy for billing rules and carrier requirements. • Maintain the claims held and on hold admit to discharge billing buckets each week. • Send corrected claims as requested by the collection specialist each week. • Work rejections in the CMD system and fix claims so that they arrive at the carrier’s clearinghouse.
🎯 Requirements
• Experience with CollaborateMD billing software (preferred, not required). • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes. • Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. • Familiar with ICD-10 codes and HCPCS/CPT with revenue codes. • Understanding of the different bill types and requirements for each carrier. • Experience with billing US Healthcare through Commercial Insurance companies. • Understanding of the different claim forms (UB-04 vs HCFA 1500).
