📋 Description

• Act as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, from initial demo to proof of concept. • Explain how Backstage’s architecture, APIs, and plugin system can be adapted to each client’s environment. • Partner with customer engineering teams to integrate and extend Backstage, including building custom plugins or workflows. • Troubleshoot implementation issues and provide hands-on guidance during deployment. • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to share customer insights and shape future product improvements. • Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and demos that show how Backstage can improve developer productivity and alignment. • Represent Spotify’s engineering excellence and open-source values in conversations with technical leaders and platform teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Understanding of how modern engineering teams build and ship software. • Experienced with Backstage and/or other developer portal platforms • Fluent in technologies like Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps tooling. • Comfortable coding in React, TypeScript, and Node.js, and understand web architecture. • You’ve worked with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and are familiar with enterprise integrations. • You enjoy solving complex technical problems and can clearly communicate solutions to both engineers and decision-makers. • You’ve worked as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Developer Advocate in a tech company before.
