📋 Description

• At SpruceID, we are reimagining trusted interactions by creating the world’s best software for digital identity. We are a team of engineers building world-class open source software that implement open global standards. • As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and customer delivery. • You will work directly with state governments and other public sector partners to design, build, and deploy solutions that solve real-world identity challenges. • This role combines hands-on software development with consulting and customer success. • You will represent SpruceID on the ground with our partners, ensuring our technology is deployed effectively and with lasting impact. • This job is fully remote within the US, but we prefer candidates in states where we do business including CA, UT, and CO.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping backend software in statically typed languages, such as C#, Rust, Go, or Java. • Experience shipping modern web frontends that meet accessibility and security standards • Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering efforts and deliver production systems • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and devops practices • Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers, ideally in a consulting or delivery role • Based in the US and excited to engage directly with state government partners
