📋 Description

• Lead the daily operations of claims teams, including billing and insurance follow-up • Develop and maintain department policies, procedures, training manuals, guides, and standard work • Lead or attend huddles, staff meetings, payer meetings, clinical/support department meetings, and educational opportunities • Identify denial trends through audits, claim reviews, data analysis, research, and education • Monitor revenue cycle metrics and implement solutions involving education, IT optimization, departments, payers, and vendors • Serve as point person for claim-level escalations and present solutions to stakeholders • Support the Senior Director with budget development, monitoring, accountability, and operational targets • Manage interviewing, hiring, timekeeping, coaching, mentoring, and performance management • Direct, coach, and monitor direct reports while developing a high-performance team • Ensure direct reports meet compliance and safety requirements • Oversee customer service delivery that is timely, efficient, accurate, and promotes goodwill • Collaborate on process improvements using Lean and Value Improvement Practice concepts and tools • Maintain a safe environment and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and corporate integrity requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; a combination of education and relevant prior experience may substitute in lieu of a degree • Five years of applicable revenue cycle and/or patient financial services experience required • Two years of finance experience may substitute for two years of required experience • One year of leadership experience required • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Ability to travel to business functions, trainings, meetings, and all SCHS worksites • Advanced knowledge of healthcare industry, billing and collection practices, revenue cycle processes, and payer reimbursement methodologies • Strong communication skills, including public speaking and technical writing • Demonstrated research and problem-solving skills • Ability to operate and make decisions independently • Process improvement experience/skills • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word • Preferred: Epic and vendor management experience • Preferred: applicable revenue cycle certification including coding, compliance, and billing
