• Teamified works with top enterprises and digital native businesses in Australia helping them build their remote teams in India, Philippines and Sri Lanka. • Our client is an online advertising marketplace that connects media and rights owners with brands and agencies. • The Financial Controller will oversee financial operations for the client, including its subsidiaries. • Oversee quote preparation, invoicing, and payment reminders for entity-specific revenue streams. • Manage purchase orders (POs) and payout scheduling for each entity. • Perform payment and payout reconciliations for entity transactions. • Record entity-specific transactions and adjust P/L and B/S movements. • Implement authorisation controls for entity expenses. • Oversee authorisation controls for entity payments. • Establish financial controls for entity-specific purchase orders and approvals. • Prepare quarterly BAS and annual returns for each entity. • Prepare entity-level P/L, B/S, and cash flow statements. • Implement entity-specific revenue recognition rules. • Develop and approve budgets for each entity. • Prepare financial forecasts for each entity. • Manage schedules for entity-specific tangible and intangible assets. • Oversee entity-specific payroll processing, superannuation, and PAYG compliance. • Administer entity-specific commission and bonus schedules. • Track revenue and costs for entity-specific projects. • Value and amortize entity-specific IP assets. • Manage payments to entity-specific vendors, freelancers, and talent. • Manage eliminations for group consolidation. • Prepare group-level financial reports. • Manage cash pooling and liquidity across the group. • Establish arm’s length pricing for inter-company transactions. • Develop group tax strategies. • Draft and maintain agreements for shared services. • Prepare group-level cash flow forecasts. • Identify and mitigate group financial risks. • Evaluate group debt vs. equity financing. • Monitor and report on group debt facilities. • Manage group consolidation and tax advisory projects. • Coordinate external audits for all entities. • Conduct financial due diligence for group acquisitions. • Prepare group financial reports for shareholders, board, and external stakeholders. • Build group-level 3-way forecasts, M&A models, and financial charts. • Oversee group payment processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • CPA or CA certification required. • Minimum of 7 years in financial management. • At least 3 years of experience working within a multi-entity group structure. • Experience in media, entertainment, or event-based industries is preferred. • Proven expertise in inter-company transactions, group consolidation, and Australian tax compliance. • Advanced proficiency in Xero or similar ERP systems. • Familiarity with expense management tools. • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, particularly for group-level modelling and forecasting. • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder and cross-entity collaboration. • Ability to manage complex priorities across multiple entities. • Deep understanding of AASB standards, OECD transfer pricing guidelines, and ATO regulations. • Familiarity with project-based accounting and intellectual property (IP) valuation in the media and entertainment sectors. • The Financial Controller will manage a complex group structure with the client as the parent company. • Individual Entity Focus: Operational finance activities such as invoicing, payroll, and project accounting tailored to the unique needs of the media and entertainment company. • Group-Wide Focus: Responsibilities include financial consolidation, inter-company coordination, tax strategy, and strategic financial oversight to support client’s growth.
