• Carry out supervision related to roadworks, landscaping and underground infrastructure (watermain, sanitary and storm sewers, etc.); • Ensure that the work complies with the plans and specifications; • Ensure compliance with current environmental regulations; • Verify various payment certificates; • Coordinate and approve work performed by the laboratory; • Complete the daily report; • Issue notices of non-compliance; • Perform measurements and progress quantities (progressive pay items). • Monitor changes and approve modifications in conjunction with the project manager; • May perform office work (estimating, design review, etc.) during site shutdown periods.
• Hold a high school diploma (DES), a DEC in civil engineering, or another relevant discipline; • Have 5 to 10 years or more of relevant experience; • Training in civil engineering site supervision (infrastructure/civil); • Knowledge of the City of Montreal’s specifications and procedures; • Knowledge of MTQ standards and BNQ standards; • Hold the ASP Construction card; • Strong command of spoken and written French; • Possess a valid driver’s license and a vehicle; • Enjoy working outdoors (summer and winter); • Ability to work long hours on site.
