• Make SAFETY a top priority – stay current on all training, practice safety and promote safety among other Applied Specialties staff, clients, and contractors • Actively assist corporate in the development of new product concepts and new technologies • Lead and/or give support in the development and distribution of various sales materials including but not limited to written training material, in person or web based technical training, and marketing material • Meet all requirements in supporting company branding/awareness – including but not limited to online activity, case studies, written proposals, presentations, and best practices • Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and make recommendations that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory • Sell new accounts by promoting, prospecting and running trials to increase the sales territory • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives • Provide technical support to customers; identify and resolve customer challenges, escalate challenges as necessary • Engage in problem solving by analyzing, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels • Actively sell and support ASI’s technology, solutions, and service to promote long-term business relationships with ASI • Maintain and/or increase business with current accounts by establishing a call frequency adequate to service these accounts • Develop and maintain full knowledge and understanding of the competition • Communicate territory needs and opportunities to the appropriate manager(s) • Complete all required reports (weekly, monthly, etc.) in an accurate and timely fashion • Drive sales activity to achieve monthly revenue and sales targets • Work with corporate in communication of initiatives to clients including but not limited to sales prices • Attend and actively participate in all sales meetings • Improve the efficiency and competitive position of the organization within the marketplace • Devise and implement sales strategies and forecasts • Complies with all ANSI, EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations and company policy including hazardous wastes • Reports all accidents, injuries/illnesses, spills to supervisor • Adhere to ISO documents and meet company/department quality, environmental and safety objectives
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or related field • Five (5) or more years of direct experience and knowledge and/or familiarity with chemicals, their applications and handling • Related experience consists of sales or service in similar water treatment industries or corporate technical service roles • Additional experience and proven sales growth will be considered in total compensation • Previously demonstrated ability to work with customers in sales and/or service environment • Knowledge of Water Treatment products and nomenclature • A pleasant telephone voice/manner • Good telephone etiquette • Self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality and ability to work in a detailed environment for extended periods of time without direct supervision • May require working weekends and long hours • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • A driver's license is required for any transportation necessary for service calls with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record • Use of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Word and Excel® is a must.
