📋 Description

• You will participate in the design, maintenance, and improvement of Torc's ML frameworks, which include the following tools: • Cloud tools: Terraform, AWS Managed Services, EKS, Ray • Data operations: Parquet processing (PyArrow, Daft, Pandas), vector databases / LanceDB, MCAP/ROS • ML training and fine-tuning pipeline: Python, Ray, PyTorch, Lightning, Gymnasium • Logging and aggregation, experiment tracking, model registry and lineage: visualization and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Voxel51, Rerun)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 6 years of professional experience • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years of professional experience • Experience designing with Ray and a desire to evangelize its use • Up-to-date with open-source software for large-scale machine learning • Experience building ML solutions that have reached production • Comfortable with data science and the ML iteration / lifecycle • Nice to have: familiarity with model optimization and compression for edge deployment • Familiarity with compute and data platforms • Understanding of how to build scalable ML systems • Desire to design, maintain, grow, and improve our ML platform • Awareness that healthy software deployments require mature software engineering practices • Nice to have: enjoyment interacting with users and helping them reach their goals • Proficiency in English is required
