📋 Description

• Support all aspects of the General Ledger and preparation and reporting of financial statements • Analyze and reconcile complex financial data to ensure applicable regulations and accounting procedures are observed • Review accounting, internal control, and departmental procedures to improve compliance, efficiency, accuracy, and consistency • Identify trends or anomalies in accounting system transactions and evaluate their significance • Address accounting matters within assigned authority and refer other matters to higher-level authority • Prepare reports of findings and act as an internal consultant for unusual or complex accounting issues • Assist with compliance activities, including tax filing preparation and cost report preparation • Plan and carry out timely, efficient, and accurate month-end General Ledger closing activities • Track, coordinate, and post journal entries while ensuring segregation of duties and approvals • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned facilities • Prepare reports, worksheets, analyses, documentation, and supporting schedules for auditors, tax returns, and regulatory agencies • Serve as the main point of contact and provide accounting support to executive directors and department heads of assigned facilities • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources • Perform general payroll functions as needed • Perform general fixed asset management as needed • Promote Transforming Age's Mission, Vision, Values, Culture of Excellence, and strategic goals • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field is preferred • At least 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience • Working knowledge of GAAP and regulations • Multi-state tax accounting experience • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including audit preparation, budgeting, and reporting • 3 or more years as a public accountant strongly preferred • CPA strongly preferred • Knowledge of healthcare preferred • Workday experience is a plus
