📋 Description

• Bookkeep for multiple public and private clients in Canada and the US, including AR, AP, bank transactions, reconciliations, GST filings, and journal entries • Maintain organized electronic records of invoices and statements • Handle foreign exchange transactions • Assist with providing documents for client audits • Prepare working papers for financial statement line items • Support various projects and administrative tasks as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma specializing in accounting in progress • Current enrollment in a recognized institutional co-op program is required • Ability to format documents in Microsoft Word • Comfort working in Microsoft Excel • Ability to work under deadline pressure • Interest in challenging work and developing accounting skills • Willingness to embrace new technology • Extremely detail-oriented and meticulous • Interest in pursuing a CPA designation • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act • Resume required • Official or unofficial transcript required, attached to the resume as one combined document • Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is a bonus • Customer service or client service experience is a bonus • Exposure to QuickBooks and Sage 50 is a bonus
