• TrueML is a mission-driven financial software company that aims to create better customer experiences for distressed borrowers. • Consumers today want personal, digital-first experiences that align with their lifestyles, especially when it comes to managing finances. • TrueML’s approach uses machine learning to engage each customer digitally and adjust strategies in real time in response to their interactions. • The TrueML team includes inspired data scientists, financial services industry experts and customer experience fanatics building technology to serve people in a way that recognizes their unique needs and preferences as human beings and endeavoring toward ensuring nobody gets locked out of the financial system. • As an Engineer II at TrueML, you will be a pivotal member of our data services team, responsible for developing the data streaming platform, the common event bus as well as a number of other critical services to meet the data needs for our domain teams. • We are looking for an engineer who is not just technically strong, but a collaborative problem-solver who actively contributes new ideas, flags inefficiencies, and is passionate about continuous improvement for themselves and their team.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree is a plus). • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in a backend engineering role. • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is required. • Proficiency in Go (Golang) • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform. • Good communication skills to articulate the "why" behind your work and explain complex technical problems. • A solid understanding of basic system architecture, software engineering practices. • The ability to quickly learn new technical areas and ship code without requiring constant feedback. • Experience testing and debugging your own code and troubleshooting issues in lower and production environments. • Experience with Scala is a plus to work with some of our legacy code.
