• Work directly with the founder to accelerate the evolution of systems originally built in-house • Scale backend infrastructure and deliver critical features supporting front-line recruiting teams • Build applications and workflows that leverage GenAI APIs • Maintain and improve production-grade backend systems • Collaborate with distributed team members across multiple regions • Operate independently in a remote-first environment with cross-timezone communication
• 6+ years of backend engineering experience (with production-grade systems) • Strong expertise in Python and Django • Experience building applications that leverage GenAI APIs (e.g. OpenRouter, OpenAI, etc.) • Uses Cursor/Claude by default and has built strong workflows to balance quality with productivity • Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones • Experience working independently in a remote-first environment • Background in a high-growth startup environment (bonus) • Experience mentoring or helping other engineers grow (bonus) • Familiarity with implementing testing frameworks to ensure code quality (bonus) • Full-stack development experience in addition to backend expertise (bonus)
