📋 Description

• The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural sheet metal projects. • Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine project scope and requirements. • Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and overheads. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive bids. • Utilise industry-standard estimating software to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor proposals to secure optimal pricing and value. • Support project teams with cost monitoring, budget tracking, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. • Maintain current knowledge of materials, market conditions, and industry innovations to inform estimates. • Ensure all estimates and proposals are prepared in accordance with company standards and deadlines. • Perform other role-specific duties as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field preferred. • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Estimator in construction, with a focus on architectural sheet metal projects. • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, folding, welding, finishing, and installation techniques. • Proven ability to read, interpret, and take-off from complex architectural and structural drawings. • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential). • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness. • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
