• Provide strategic project management leadership for a portfolio of large and complex renewable engineering services projects • Manage overall project scope, schedule, and cost with little to no supervision • Make key project decisions and lead project meetings • Lead contract negotiation, contract management, and proposal development • Secure adequate project resources • Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences, and implement recommendations • Manage collaborative multidisciplinary project teams across functional disciplines • Coach teams and lead conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation • Coordinate communications, provide status updates, and escalate issues to stakeholders • Collaborate with Project Controls to manage schedules and costs against plan • Develop, update, and manage project plans • Assess project risks and develop mitigation plans • Manage requests for information and action items • Lead projects through internal and external processes • Drive continuous process improvement for program initiation, execution, and closeout • Maintain client service and resolve project and non-project-related issues • Partner with Business Development and Project Managers to grow revenue and expand services • Support proposal development and review • Maintain positive relationships with existing clients • Mentor less experienced team members
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and/or a minimum of 10 years of comparable experience • 10+ years of experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects, or significant complex thermal/conventional power generation experience • Direct project management experience with utility and/or renewable energy projects • PMP certification preferred • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or P6 preferred • Proven experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project • Advanced understanding of project finances and expenditures • Expert understanding and effective use of contracts and agreements • Ability to mentor less experienced team members • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines • Ability to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports • Ability to read and understand construction and procurement contracts • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation/resolution and stakeholder engagement • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders • Must be able to travel to project sites as required • Must ensure adherence to safety policies • Must ensure adherence to client Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs • Experience reporting, tracking, and resolving non-conformance issues with QA/QC • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
