📋 Description

• Oversee operations, guide teams, and support a medical environment across the region • Influence strategy, build hospital cultures, and partner with medical and operational leaders • Share responsibility for operations, medical standards, hiring, and culture with leadership team • Travel up to 65% to lead hospitals across Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, and Iowa • Ensure VCA’s standards of quality medical practice and customer service are followed • Improve workflow and staff efficiency, review hospital hours and doctor appointment availability • Develop relationships with Medical Directors and Hospital Managers; assist with training • Cultivate a healthy culture and manage performance; conduct performance reviews and terminations • Drive hospital revenue growth; evaluate service and product fees; audit hospital production • Ensure cash control, monitor expenditures and payroll, review inventory and purchasing • Work with Marketing Manager to keep hospital marketing current and support events • Champion VCA culture and ensure operational consistency and best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Leadership experience in a multi-site operational business, preferably in healthcare or related industries • Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing P&L and driving revenue growth • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to engage and influence Medical Directors and other healthcare professionals • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities under pressure • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; MBA, DVM, or a degree in Healthcare or Hospital Management is a plus but not required
