• Review customer contracts, multiple element arrangements, and complex revenue transactions to ensure proper revenue recognition and billing in accordance with company policies, ASC 606, and GAAP. • Responsible for all aspects of NetSuite subscriptions and revenue reporting and analysis, as well as, all NetSuite customer data. • Subject matter expert on revenue and ASC 606; preparing Standalone Selling Price analysis, Contract Combination, Modification, and Material Right assessments, and Average Customer Life analysis. • Drive key month-end revenue close procedures, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions and conducting detailed reconciliations of revenue and deferred accounts, schedules, and flux analysis. • Process and review revenue details, elements, arrangements and plans, and run system journal entries in NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management and SuiteBilling. • Enhance and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies, systems, and procedures including ASC 606 memo. • Lead the subscription and billing teams in proper execution of daily tasks to achieve both internal and external customer success and meet month end close deadlines. • Own the management and reporting of Partner commissions based on revenue and billed transactions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AR collection, sales and cs operation teams to support the revenue process. • Assist with yearly external audits. • Assist in integration and improvement of accounting operations. • Ad hoc projects as requested by management. • Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience • A minimum of 7-10 years of SaaS revenue accounting experience, CPA certification preferred • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills • Self-starter, capable of working independently and within a team • Public accounting experience is a plus • Expert Microsoft Office skills in Excel with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is highly desirable • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis with keen attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels • Capable of prioritizing projects and tasks in a high transaction volume, fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines • Strong understanding of ASC606 and GAAP • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex contracts and financial data
