📋 Description

• Contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Java-based components and React-based interfaces • Perform hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and analytical problem-solving for WinAir web products • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to implement and maintain business and software solutions • Communicate API concepts and provide API implementation documentation • Design and develop applications using Java and React • Write clean, reusable code according to corporate standards and requirements documentation • Contribute to product design during team-driven design and scoping sessions • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Review requirements documentation and provide feedback on project alignment • Assist with identifying and resolving design issues • Continue technical learning and development • Provide technical support to junior developers • Propose creative solutions to development challenges • Perform other duties as assigned to support product development

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum College Diploma in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent job experience • 2–4 years of commercial experience in web application development or software development • Experience with partial to full remote operations is an asset • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Cursor for code generation, refactoring, test scaffolding, and debugging • Sound judgment about when to rely on generated output and when to write code manually • Experience with object-oriented programming and modular programming • Experience with JavaScript, Java 25 framework, JSP, JSTL, Vue.js, Tomcat, Ajax, CSS, Struts 2, Hibernate, JDBC, MS SQL Server, Jasper, and iReport • Experience building modern, component-based front-end interfaces with Reach • Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs, including API documentation and troubleshooting • Experience with API security standards and best practices • Experience developing and maintaining unit tests for a large, interconnected codebase is preferred • Experience and understanding of user experience issues, Internet design principles, and accessibility issues and standards • Experience working in and problem solving in SQL and SQL Server Management Studio • Must reside in Ontario, Canada • Ability to work remotely and on-site upon request • Ability to sit for prolonged periods
