• Coordinate technical meetings with the FAA Policy and Certification Branch Office. • Lead compliance documentation review prior to FAA submittal. • Coordinate development of means and methods of compliance for composite material qualification and aircraft structure. • Support development of supplier oversight and evaluation processes and procedures.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline. • At least 12 years of experience working on aircraft Type Certification programs from concept to issuance of Type, Airworthiness, and Productions Certificates. • Working knowledge in at least one of the following 14 CFR Parts; 23, 25, 27 or 29. • Experience with conceptualizing, authoring, and executing organizational-level processes and work-instructions. • Experience facilitating communication between applicants and the FAA on novel technologies and processes. • Technical experience in designing, prototyping, testing, and certifying composite material systems and aircraft structures. • Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 23 (Amendment 64) Performance-Based Rules.
