📋 Description

• Prepare air permit applications (modeling experience a plus) • Develop emission inventories and complete annual/semi-annual reports, including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reports • Coordinate stack testing programs • Conduct air quality applicability assessments • Manage Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) data • Perform inspections and audits • Review and support air dispersion modeling analyses • Interact with state and federal air quality regulatory agencies • Negotiate permit conditions • Support the growth and development of Woodard & Curran’s Environmental Health and Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) practice. • Collaborate with Woodard & Curran practitioners nationwide to execute air quality projects • Build and maintain strong client relationships • Prepare proposals and support business development with new and existing clients • Provide technical leadership for the EHS&S practice • Support staff development and technical skill-building • Demonstrate strong field and writing skills to support a broad range of science and engineering projects • Exhibit excellent oral communication, leadership ability, and a positive attitude • Work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in environmental regulatory compliance with an environmental/engineering consulting firm, state environmental agency, or industrial/institutional facility. • A desire and drive to deliver innovative and effective services and to grow professionally and personally in an employee-focused, supportive work environment. • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or meteorology from an accredited program. • A strong appreciation of and commitment to safe work practices is mandatory. • Attention to detail. • Demonstrated performance in analysis, problem-solving, and strong organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and on large multi-disciplinary teams. • Outstanding technical writing and oral communication skills. • Ability to mentor and develop a project team and successfully manage project timelines and budgets. • Experience interpreting state and federal air quality and modeling regulations and preparing related reports, permits, plans, etc.
