📋 Description

• Deliver full-cycle physician recruitment services for psychiatrist vacancies. • Confirm that prospective candidates are not already being engaged by Interior Health's Medical Staff Recruitment team. • Source and identify qualified psychiatrist candidates. • Conduct and coordinate interviews between candidates and Interior Health stakeholders. • Verify candidate eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC). • Facilitate communication between hiring leaders and candidates throughout the recruitment process. • Support physician immigration processes when required. • Develop and execute recruitment marketing activities to attract qualified candidates. • Present licensable candidates to Interior Health within 12 months of contract initiation. • Support successful candidate placement through commencement of clinical work. • Recruit and place a maximum of seven physician candidates during the contract term. • Provide replacement candidates if a placed physician leaves within the first year of employment, in accordance with contract terms.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of six (6) years of related experience; OR Diploma in a relevant discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience; OR Certificate in a relevant discipline with a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience; OR Minimum ten (10) years of directly related experience. • Demonstrated physician recruitment experience. • Knowledge and experience with British Columbia physician licensing requirements. • Experience working with international medical graduates (IMGs). • Understanding of CPSBC eligibility and licensure processes. • Experience supporting physician immigration processes. • Proven ability to recruit hard-to-fill healthcare professionals. • Canadian-based recruitment consulting experience (preferred). • Strong healthcare recruitment network, particularly in psychiatry and mental health services (preferred). • Experience recruiting physicians for public healthcare organizations (preferred). • Knowledge of healthcare workforce planning and physician retention strategies (preferred).
